Bored of eating the same thing all of the time? Here’s how to “spice” it up.

Cooking is one of those things I have to do because I love to eat.  It’s simply a means to and end.  Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy cooking but not nearly as much as I love tasting the delicious, healthy end product.

Health is super important to me when planning my meals.  But taste is EVERYTHING!

Like most, I tend to prepare the same 5 or 6 meals in regular rotation and it’s easy to get bored of eating the same thing all the time.  Clearly, I’m not one of those people who will be happy eating just anything.

Flavors tell a story to the tastebuds.  I’m here for the novel.

In my practice, a common question asked is, “WHAT SHOULD I EAT?”.  Some folks get tired of eating the same ol’ baked chicken, tempeh, salad or pasta over and over.  What helps to avoid burnout and running to a fast food joint out of desperation for something different is spicing it up.

My cabinet contains some key herbs and spices I use to change up the flavor. I regularly cook with dried parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, cumin, garlic, cinnamon and ginger. Furthermore, I use herbal blends from a company called Spicely.  Fresh herbs are also fantastic and really a better option but I want to share what’s a bit more convenient (at least for me).

Spicely is a an organic spice and herb company that sells small quantity single dried herbs and blends that are cultural favorites (this is not a sponsored post). I purchase my herbs from Whole Foods.

Check out this video where I share more about my favorites herbs and how I use them.  Don’t let your tastebuds suffer in the name of wellness. Zhuzh up your dishes in a super simple way.

Until next time...

Many blessings,
