Fresh, zesty & creamy cilantro dressing

The day I first made this sauce a whole new world of flavor opened up.

I initially wanted to zang up the flavor for roasted veggies but then added this sauce to tacos, fish, pasta and salads and discovered new flavors in old favorites.

I decided to make the recipe for this it's own post because I have referred to it a couple times as an addition to other recipes --> Savory, squash tacos and Black eyed pea patties

You can modify the recipe to make it more creamy or add a coconut flavor.  There are just so many dishes you can add this too.

Ingredients

Nutritional yeast

Nutritional yeast

About 1/4 c raw cashews

*the more cashews the greater the thickness of the sauce

2 tsp nutritional yeast

1/3 c cilantro or parsley

1-2 garlic cloves 

1 tbs lemon or lime juice

1/4- 1/3 c olive oil

FOR COCONUT FLAVOR

Add 1 tbs coconut milk

Directions

I keep this dish super simple by adding all ingredients to a hand blender cup and blending with the hand blender until I've arrived at a smooth liquid or creamy consistency.

You may also use a standing blender or food processor.
